Opening iPhone photos (HEIC)
When you add an iPhone photo (HEIC) in a browser that can’t open it, the website loads heic-to 1.6.5 to turn it into a JPEG on your own device. heic-to packages libheif, with the HEVC decoder libde265 it uses. All three are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3, and their source is at the links above.
We use them unmodified, as a separate file your browser downloads only when it needs one, so you can replace that file with your own build of the same libraries. Ask us at hello@sirtripsalot.com for the exact files we serve.
